Garnet, the Queen of the 12 Hour Whelp, extended her work hours on Friday to a 15 1/2 hour whelp, and she and Tar are the parents of 7 beautiful Black & Tan puppies:- 5 females - Ghita (Ital deriv. pearly), Gerry (in honor of my dear,dear friend Geraldine who I know would truly love dogs if she weren't so darned allergic), Gladys (R-E-S-P-E-C-T), Ginny, andGriffin (in honor of Ellen's sweet girl who years ago taught Garnet and many other GEB GSDs before her that 'not all dogs will like you, so get over yourself!') and - 2 males - Guthrie (Woody and Arlo - yes!), and Galen (Greek deriv. healer; calm - let's hope!)
Garnet is a beauty, and her babes will bring much to the lives of their lucky people. I love their names (and hope we get to see them again a bit later). Congrats to Garnet, Tar and the people who care for them!
