Fun With The Shepherds

Yesterday I visited with Jane & Derrek to hang out with my buddies Kara, Fred, Gisa, Jessa and my new friend Jack a very sweet black Lab. I photographed these dogs doing their thing and had a blast. Here are a few shots...

Garnet & Ruthann

Here are two wonderful Guiding Eyes Shepherds – mother and daughter. The Shepherd on the left, Garnet, is pregnant and due to deliver on June 11. The Shepherd on the right, Ruthann, is her daughter – and Esther’s mother. We can't wait to see the puppies!

Kody Posing

This is Guiding Eyes Kody. All 105 lbs of black GS. He was released in Dec at 12 months old, for a health issue. Great dog, and is living happily in NH with his new adopted family. I still get to see him, which is a wonderful thing! He would have made a VERY big guide dog! More Kody later.

Introducing Kody - What A Character

This is the first of a series of photos to come from this cool German Shepherd. Check back later today and we will find out a little about Kody.

Sheep Or Shepherd? You Be The Judge...

Here is little Jack and his sisters sitting pretty for the camera. Jack is adorable with his downward and forward sloping ears. We may laugh now but when he grows up with his ears standing tall, he will have the last laugh.

Yogi - All Cleaned Up And Handsome

If you remember a few posts back, we saw photos of Yogi playing in the mud. Well here is Yogi looking real good. What a great name for this sweet Shepherd. It's so fitting.

FDA: First Drug to Treat Cancer in Dogs Approved

This is a very important issue for me since I lost my German Shepherd to cancer. This is great news and hopefully the first step in many to help our dogs beat cancer and give them a fighting chance.

I think we've all been there. At first you have to laugh but then when you think about having to restore your Shepherd back to the "Beautiful State", you have to cry. Then you look at the pictures and you have to laugh again.

Esther is one spunky little German Shepherd and her spirit was captured perfectly in these photos. Socializing your dog is such an important aspect of having a well balanced pet or working canine.

Ruthann Is An Educated And Beautiful GSD

I like to photograph my GEB puppies, so I am sending several photos for your blog. The attached photo is GEB Ruthann, named for a wonderful GSD breeder, Ruth Anderson, who for decades generously donated puppies to Guiding Eyes for the Blind and other guide dog schools. Ruthann is the mother of Esther.
