Garnet And Her Litter Of 5 Day Old Puppies

Garnet, the Queen of the 12 Hour Whelp, extended her work hours on Friday to a 15 1/2 hour whelp, and she and Tar are the parents of 7 beautiful Black & Tan puppies:- 5 females - Ghita (Ital deriv. pearly), Gerry (in honor of my dear,dear friend Geraldine who I know would truly love dogs if she weren't so darned allergic), Gladys (R-E-S-P-E-C-T), Ginny, andGriffin (in honor of Ellen's sweet girl who years ago taught Garnet and many other GEB GSDs before her that 'not all dogs will like you, so get over yourself!') and - 2 males - Guthrie (Woody and Arlo - yes!), and Galen (Greek deriv. healer; calm - let's hope!)

Here are two wonderful Guiding Eyes Shepherds – mother and daughter. The Shepherd on the left, Garnet, is pregnant and due to deliver on June 11. The Shepherd on the right, Ruthann, is her daughter – and Esther’s mother. We can't wait to see the puppies!
